It's snowing now. Like a clean white blanket placed on the bed that covers the floor and the furniture too. Snow brings me such a good feeling inside. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the one I missed in Houston last year. I'll be home for Christmas this year, but no bells on Bob's tail this time I suspect. Two years in a row would certainly make me think that Al Gore has invented something to control the weather. "They" say that this year will be a cold winter, and that the UK is in for a record breaking cold winter. Dovie, I hope you have warm mittens for Hogmanay...

Who needs warm mittens when I'll be surrounded by the locals? Just hearing the accent is enough to make me smile (thinking of it) now, and will be enough to at least keep my face warm (from all the blushing) when I'm there!

I'm jealous of the snow. We got nothin' here! Just coldness.

J - the summer (or what I saw of it) was lovely. Winter is pretty nice so far. I'll have to report back another time on the other seasons, since I haven't experienced them here yet.

Hi Dr. Hottie (gee, can you tell where I learned about you?)

I've never posted here, but I'm engaged in a little internet subterfuge trying to get Diana to post again.
Sorry to hi-jack your blog for my own purposes. (I'm really not a spammer!)

Diana - This comment is for you!
It is time to post on your blog again!!! Get out there and write something. I need to know what's going on in dirty-nomad world!

Love, Laura

eb- so sorry you don't get the neat white stuff much; maybe you'll have a little sometime.
Dovie- Chantico drinking chocolate. that should warm you up.

Laura- not a problem, just means I have to go check yours a little more often...

dovie and eb - i take it that the both of you live in Britain?

if so, do you have any knowledge of the job environment for non-British citizens?

I've been thinking of moving to London, but I'm not sure how difficult it is to become a citizen, and how difficult it would be to find a job

hey, dovie and eb - i assume the both of you are living in Britain?

if so - do you have any inclination as to what the job environment is like for non-British citizens?

I've been thinking of just moving to London, but I'm trying to figure out how difficult it is to become a citizen as well as find a job

if so - do you have any inclination as to what the kilt market is like for fun-British citizens?

I've been thinking of just moving to Kilts, but I'm trying to figure out how difficult it is to modestly a sit as well as hide my bum.

hey macScrooge, leave me friends alone!

Sol- I'll be home the week before Christmas...

J- you really don't want to give up your citizenship here, which you would if you were to apply for and obtain citizenship there.

I'd say your best bet is to try and get a work visa, then you don't need to think about choosing your loyalty with your citizenship.

I don't know how to get one without already having a job lined up, though...my company sent me here, so they took care of the visa.
